The local declination of the international event “Night of Ideas” will be officially launched by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao on January. 2 roundtables on the theme of “Artificial Intelligence” will take place on a unique evening punctuated by a series of artistic performances and digital immersive installations. “Re-imagine Education: Artificial Intelligence and Education”
The 1st roundtable discussion (6:15 - 7:30pm) will focus on changes in education systems in response to recent technological developments, and how society will be profoundly shaped under these changes.
“Implications of Artificial Intelligence in modes of digital artistic creations”
The 2nd roundtable discussion (8:30 - 9:30pm) will look at the impacts and implications of artificial intelligence on artistic creation, and reflect on various forms and interactions in the future.
Both roundtables will feature French and Hongkong experts and will be punctuated by an interactive performance combining digital technologies, dance and live music. A virtual reality (VR) corner will also be available to the public. This première in Hong Kong aims to engage the participants in thinking out of the box and discuss a wide range of contemporary society issues related to artificial intelligence.

The event will take place on 25 January 2018 from 6pm to 10pm at Miller Theatre, Asia Society Hong Kong Center(Admiralty MTR station Exit C1). The evening in Hong Kong will also be covered and broadcasted to the general public of the Night of Ideas at Quai d’Orsay in Paris, on the very day by our film partner Mar Vivo Films.
There will also be Facebook live videos for partial real-time transmission of the event.
