Pour la quatrième année consécutive, Goût de / Good France a célèbré joyeusement la vitalité de la cuisine française, un véritable trait d’union entre les chefs du monde entier. Le 21 mars dans 150 pays, Goût de / Good France, organisé à l’initiative du Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Étrangères, contribue au rayonnement de la cuisine française sur les 5 continents.
La gastronomie française est l’un des piliers de l’attractivité de la France et participe activement à son rayonnement culturel. La richesse de notre cuisine, l’inscription du "repas gastronomique des Français" sur la liste du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’Unesco, font de nos territoires des destinations uniques proposant des expériences gastronomiques diversifiées et sans cesse renouvelées.
Une région à l’honneur
En 2018, Goût de France / Good France a souhaité mettre une région à l’honneur, la Nouvelle Aquitaine. Creuset de l’excellence des vins français, avec Bordeaux comme marque mondiale porteuse de l’ensemble du territoire, la région est riche de différents parcours culinaires et œnologiques. Les produits de la Nouvelle Aquitaine seront ainsi mis à l’honneur dans les menus servis dans une sélection de restaurants en France et à l’international.

Dîner officiel à la Résidence de France
En reprenant l’idée des « dîners d’Epicure » d’Auguste Escoffier en 1912, Goût de France / Good France mobilise les chefs du monde entier et les ambassades pour servir, le même jour, des dîners « à la française » dans plusieurs villes du monde.
A Hong Kong, la Résidence du Consul général Eric Berti a accueilli le 20 mars 2018 un dîner officiel préparé par l’Institut Culinaire des Disciples d’Escoffier avec un menu composé de spécialités de la région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Sensibilisation à la lutte contre le gaspillage alimentaire
Le 18 mars 2018, le Consulat général et XCHANGE : Social Gastronomy se sont associés pour rendre la gastronomie française accessible à tous tout en sensibilisant le public à la lutte contre le gaspillage alimentaire. Le chef Johan Ducroquet du Bistro Winebeast préparera un menu à partir d’ingrédients issus du recyclage alimentaire. Ce repas sera servi à des communautés défavorisées de Hong Kong.
Goût de France x French Chamber Foundation
Le 20 mars, le Consulat général et l’Institut Culinaire Disciples Escoffier ont servi un menu français au Club géré à Wan Chai par la French Chamber Foundation en partenariat avec la Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service.
Le Club accueille des salariés à faibles revenus 5 jours par semaine et leur propose des repas diététique à un tarif de 8 HKD. De plus, cette cantine sert aussi de lieu de rencontre entre des assistants sociaux et les membres du Club de la Fondation afin d’identifier leurs besoin et les aider à progresser dans leur carrière afin qu’ils puissent améliorer leurs conditions de vie.

XCHANGE : Social Gastronomy is an experimental project that explores everyday life from a fresh perspective. The project aims to raise public awareness of the daily challenge from 3,600 tons of food waste Hong Kong is facing and initiate changes and new practices with the aid of design. Based at Oi ! as an open kitchen and community living space, XCHANGE : Social Gastronomy demonstrates design thinking and green living by transforming leftover into mouth-watering dishes with creativity, organising a series of activities and setting examples of food upcycling for the community.
The French Chamber Foundation is a charitable organization under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance Hong Kong. The French Chamber Foundation is a joint initiative launched by the French Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and its members in order to improve low-income workers’ livelihood in the long run by helping them finding a better job.
