The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau is launching a series of literary anniversaries to pay tribute to great figures of French literature.
November 18 will mark the centennial of Marcel Proust’s death. For this occasion, the Consulate General will organise a special event:
Presentation and reflections on Proust’s work by Benoît Guérillot, professor at the University of Hong Kong;
Reading of extracts from A la recherche du temps perdu by Jean-Michel Sourd, teacher at Diocesan’s Boys School;
Madeleines tasting;
Quiz to deepen the audience’s knowledge and win a book and a voucher to be used at the Parenthèses bookshop.
