Business France: The 9th Edition of French Traditional Gourmet Market Presented by French GourMay Food & Wine Festival [中文]
【Hong Kong, 2 May 2023】 French GourMay Food & Wine Festival is the one and only major festival in Hong Kong and Macau dedicated to gastronomy à la française, organised by French Trade Commission – Business France, under the umbrella of French May Arts Festival. In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of French May Arts Festival, the 14th edition of French GourMay, with Hong Kong Tourism Board as supported organisation, will bubble up the joy of festivity with French sparkling wines. From 1 to 31 May 2023, French GourMay will unveil this bubbly spectacle in a glass with over 150 partners in Hong Kong and Macau.
As the “Marché” (traditional outdoor market) is deeply rooted in French “art de vivre” (lifestyle), French GourMay, in partnership with Chinachem Group, proudly present the 9th edition of French Traditional Gourmet Market from 11-14 May at Central Market, and 1-4 June at NINA MALL 1 (Free admission).
What is the beauty of weekend markets in France? Abundant choices of local produce, friendly vendors in the neighborhood, and enjoyable grocery shopping beyond time limit…Voilà. French Traditional Gourmet Market will give you a break from the hustle and bustle of the citylife in Hong Kong.
Besides French sparkling wines, visitors will discover all kinds of French delicacies, such as cheese, pâtés, fruit jams, foie gras, croissants, seafood, soup, beer and tea etc.
There’s also a feast for the eyes. Co-presented by Chinachem Group and French May Arts Festival at the two markets, the interactive installation “Waterlight Graffiti” by French artist Antonin Fourneau is designed to create environmental-friendly art to raise awareness of sustainability issues. It will be complemented by two nature-inspired artworks created by renowned Hong Kong-based artist Bao Ho, exemplifying cross-cultural exchange through art.
