Born into the improvised music scene four years ago, the quartet wanted to deepen the musical experience, combining forms, sound structures and culturally distant discourses. Erhu, voice, piano, acoustic bass and drums form an original musical style that converges with the jazz world music genre. It was in this cultural quest that the idea of a collaboration between the Chinese musician and erhu (two-stringed violin) representative Guo Gan and a French trio (Thierry Girault on piano, Frédéric Folmer on bass, and Thibaud Bontet on drums) first arose. Beauty and sensitivity meet the unusual and captivating.
