Published in February 2016, the latest "key figures" of Campus France are prosperous concerning the mobility of students worldwide. With more than 298,902 international students in 2014/2015, France is a popular destination among students; it welcomes about 4 times more international students than it sends abroad.

International students represent 12.1% of all students in France and 41.4% of doctoral students. They are mainly (73.1%) enrolled in a university. As for their country of origin (cf. distribution map and table below), Morocco (11.8%) is the most represented, followed by China (9.9%), Algeria (7.1 %), Tunisia (3.9%) and Italy (3.5%). Students from these five countries alone account for almost 40% of incoming mobility in 2014-15.
