The diversity of the Bordeaux wine region celebrated in Hong Kong
On 28th October, a few days before the launching of the Wine and Dine Festival, a BtoB Bordeaux wine tasting and a Côtes de Bordeaux masterclass have been organized by Ubifrance.
About 30 wine professional gathered for the masterclass around 9 different wines to know more about the Côtes de Bordeaux, a new French wine Appellation launched in 2009 resulting from the union of Blaye, Cadillac, Castillon and France. The attendees were able to understand the common points gathering under the same banner the 4 different Côtes, as well as the personality of each of the Côtes.
Attracted by the chance of discovering new treasures from the Bordeaux wine area, 110 professionals (importer, distributors, retailers, restaurants, Medias etc.) attended the tasting from Hong Kong and Southern China. During this event, professionals were able to meet with the winegrowers directly coming from Bordeaux and especially from some of the best-kept secret wine areas in Bordeaux.
Mostly interested in red wines, Hong Kong and Chinese consumers are now more and more keen to discover different wines such as white or sparkling and also less famous wine area, explaining the great success of this event.
