"The Past" with Bérénice Béjot and Tahar Rahim in cinema on May 8
The latest film of Asghar Farhadi (A Separation) will be released in Hong Kong on May 8. Presented as part of the official competition during the last Cannes Film Festival, Berenice Béjot (The Artist) won the Award for Best actress. This is the first time that the Iranian director shoots in France with French actors.
Also starring: Tahar Rahim (A Prophet, Grand Central), and Pauline Burlet (La Vie en Rose), Ali Mosaffa and Sabrina Ouazani (Games of Love and Chance, Inch’ Allah).
In theatres on May 8 @ The Grand Cinema, Broadway Cinematheque and Palace IFC.
Following a four year separation, Ahmad returns to Paris from Tehran, upon his French wife Marie’s request, in order to finalize their divorce procedure. During his brief stay, Ahmad discovers the conflicting nature of Marie’s relationship with her daughter Lucie. Ahmad’s efforts to improve this relationship soon unveil a secret from their past.
