Blandine Chelini-Pont is an expert on religious freedom and legal frames improvement for religious life. She gives lectures and training programs on Religions and International Relations or Law and Religion in 20 countries. She works also with the cell of religious affairs within the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She has written more than eighty articles on Religion and International Relations, American Catholicism, American Political/Religious History, Law and Religion (French Secularism, American Separatism, Islam in the Law), in French, Spanish, German and English.
Her last published book was on the rise of the Catholic Right in the United States, as an unknown source of the American conservatism and a reason of its power (La droit catholique aux Etats-Unis, de la guerre froide aux années 2000, PUR, 2014) She is preparing two new books, one on the Vatican and The United States from the American Revolution to President Obama’s administration and the second on the Religious Politics of the United States at the international level since World War II.
