As one of the activities of « Novembre Numérique » (« Digital November ») which aims to promote French new digital practices that benefit cultural, linguistic and educational actions, SpeakShake Workshop took place on November 30 at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where students of CUHK and students at INALCO Paris participated.

Students of Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO) in
« Speakshake » online video-calling language exchange platform that is based on the sharing of cultural and current affairs with native speakers. It has been promoted by Institut Français for learning foreign languages. Around 20 French learners at CUHK participated at the workshop and engaged in conversations with students of INALCO in Paris who are learning Chinese. This way of language exchange allows learners of French and Chinese to improve their aural and oral language ability.

This workshop aims at promoting learning and teaching technologies. Throughout these exchanges, learners and teachers were able to witness how information technology benefits their learning process and knowledge acquisition. This tool also favours collaborative learning and environment in classroom.
