Screening of "Ice and Sky" at the Asia Society on December 11 [fr]
The Asia Society Hong Kong Center and the Scientific Department of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau co-presented the movie “Ice and the Sky” with the support of the Fondation BNP Paribas.
In order to raise awareness about climate change, many students were invited to the event which was attended by around 60 people. Before the screening, Mrs Lilas Bernheim, Deputy Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, delivered an introduction speech as the Paris climate conference was drawing to an end, presenting the stakes of the conference and a briefing of the negotiations.

About the movie
"Ice and The Sky” is Oscar-winning director, Luc Jacquet’s latest documentary on French polar explorer and glaciologist Claude Lorius. The film retraces Claude Lorius’ life journey from a young glaciologist studying the Antarctic ice, being the first scientist to use ice core dating in 1965 to prove that climate change can be attributed to humans, and to winning the Blue Planet Prize in 2008. “Ice and the Sky” was selected to close the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
