Science Rendez-vous about Artificial Intelligence and Robots on 31 October [fr]

From 16 to 18 September 2016 in Paris, the event « France is AI » about Artificial Intelligence was held in Paris. During the last week of October a « Science Rendez-vous » dedicated to this recent topic took place at Kee Club.

In order to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Kee Club offered his support generously to the Consulate general of France for holding the new series of Science Rendez-vous.

Around 40 people were present and more than 500 people watched this edition on 31 October 2016 online, which was broadcast on the Facebook page of Consualte. One of the speaker, Prof Pascale Fung, alumni of Centrale Paris and professor of Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering of HKUST, and Mr. David Goldsmith, who is author and co-founder of « Goldsmith Organization » and working for public and private instititutions such as NASA, discussed the challenges and risks in the future which represented the spectacular progress of AI.

After the inspiring presentaion of Pascale Fung, led by Mr Goldsmith, the audience was reactove and raised some questions.

About "Science Rendez-vous":

Dedicated to a large audience, these monthly talks - aim at taking part in the dissemination of scientific culture in Hong Kong. Through informal talks and exchanges with the audience, renowned experts from France or Hong Kong will popularize a large variety of scientific topics.

The « Science Rendez-Vous » will stay close from topical issues and will keep an eye on ground-breaking discoveries made by French or local teams as well as teams working in cooperation between the two countries.

The talks will be given in English in the following format: 40 minutes speech followed by a Q&A session fostering interaction between the speaker and the audience.
