Press release: French presidential election in Hong Kong & Macau

Hong Kong, 19 April 2017
The French presidential election will take place on 23 April 2017 (1st round) and 7 May 2017 (2nd round). In Hong Kong & Macau, 8,126 registered voters are eligible to cast their votes. Polling stations, open from 8am to 7pm on election days, will be set up at the following locations:
Consulate general of France in Hong Kong & Macau 25/F, Admiralty Center Tower 2, 18 Harcourt Road, Hong Kong
The French International School 133 Wong Ngai Chung Gap Road, Hong Kong
Alliance Française de Macao 4F Travessa do Bom Jesus R/C, Macau
Results from the polling stations in Hong Kong & Macau will be made public at the polling stations after the counting.

Media wishing to cover the election at one of the above polling centers shall register with the Press Office of the Consulate general by close of play Friday 21 April. In polling stations:
Journalists shall not disturb the voting process. Interviews of French voters, if any, must be conducted outside the polling station.
Photo-taking and filming are allowed with the authorization of the president of the polling station. For privacy concerns, reporters shall seek the consent of the persons who may appear on the images.
At any moment, the president of the polling station may ask reporters to leave if their presence risksdisrupting the voting operations.
Please note that the Consul general will be personnally presiding over the voting operations in the Consulate general and will not be available for interviews.
