Cultural diplomacy and Soft Power, since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, have grown as a major issue in the conduct of international relations.
The great powers, conscious of their image outside their borders and willing to weigh on global debates, develop cultural strategies to bring their voices in the world.

This round-table conference will provide an opportunity for scholars specialists of Soft Power to exchange ideas with Hong Kong diplomats whose home country is pursuing an active foreign cultural policy. It will be an opportunity for each one of these personalities to speak on the specific national requirements of his country, and discuss with the public on matters related to geopolitics, economics and culture.
