Mr. CY Leung, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, will visit France on 7-9 June 2016. This official visit will focus on the theme of innovation and technology.
Mr. Leung will be accompanied by the Secretary for Transport and Housing, Prof Anthony Cheung, and the Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas Yang, as well as 19 Hong Kong students in engineering.
On 7 June, the Chief Executive will first go to Toulouse where he will meet with Mrs. Carole Delga, President of the Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées region. He will then visit the ENAC, the French Civil Aviation University, and the Airbus headquarters.
On 8 June, Mr. Leung will visit the Oncopole, a cancer research campus, before heading to Paris. He will attend a luncheon with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Mr. Jean-Marc Ayrault, and then visit the CentraleSupélec institute in the Paris-Saclay technology cluster.
On 9 June, Mr. Leung will meet with the Prime Minister of France, Mr. Manuel Valls, and the Minister for Economy, Industry and Digital Affaires, Mr. Emmanuel Macron. He will then visit the Usine IO, a startup incubator and meet with the France-China Friendship Group of the French National Assembly.
