Moment of sharing & conviviality around French gastronomy [fr]

The Consulate general of France celebrated "Good France" with low-income workers in Hong Kong.

In partnership with the Institut Culinaire des Disciples d’Escoffier and the French Chamber Foundation, the Consulate general of France introduced French gastronomy to beneficiaries of the Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service on 20 March 2019.

As a nod to the Napoleon Year in Hong Kong, they were served a Napoleonic menu with recipes from the First French Empire. From the Chicken Marengo to the Blanc-Manger that Joséphine loved so much,

The French Chamber Foundation is a charitable organization created in 2014 by the French Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. The Foundation’s primary objective is to be involved in the fight against poverty, and more precisely, to assist workers living under the poverty line and struggling to make ends meet, despite being professionally active.
The Foundation operates four Lunch Clubs across Hong Kong providing affordable meals to low-income workers as well as valuable self-development services including skills training and job matching to help them improve their livelihoods.

A great moment of sharing and conviviality!

We wish to thank our partners Classic Fine Foods, M&C, Chef’s Garden and Lactalis without whom the preparation of this meal would not have been possible.
