Le French GourMay 2014: Greater success than ever [fr]
The sixth edition of Le French GourMay, organized by the French Trade Commission – Ubifrance in collaboration with Le French May, has come to an end after a month promoting Rhône Valley wines and Lyon gastronomy in Hong Kong and Macau with Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire as Gastronomic Ambassador. With the overwhelming support of festival sponsor 69 participating restaurants - 12 of which are Michelin-Starred; 34 local importers, 200 points of sales and 40 associated events (eg. The 1st edition of French Traditional Market at Stanley Plaza ), Le French GourMay has indulged the people of Hong Kong and Macau a craving for the best of French Food & Wine, and improved public’s awareness to Rhône Valley wines.
A statistically significant difference is spotted: the export of Rhône Valley wines to Hong Kong market has increased by 16% in terms of volume and by 22% in terms of value for the first quarter of 2014.
