Last 2016’ Science Rendez-vous: Human Space Odyssey [fr]

A « Science Rendez-vous », organized by the French Consulate, dedicated to Human Space Odyssey took place at Kee Club.

In order to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Kee Club offered his support generously to the Consulate general of France for holding the new series of Science Rendez-vous.

Around 40 people were present and more than 500 people watched this edition on 29 November 2016 online, which was broadcast on the Facebook page of Consulate. One of the speaker, Prof Quentin A Parker, professor of Astrophysics at HKU, and Mr. David Goldsmith, who is author and co-founder of « Goldsmith Organization » and working for public and private institutions such as NASA, discussed the challenges and possibilities in the future which represented the spectacular progress of aerospace.

After the inspiring presentation of Quentin A Parker, led by Mr Goldsmith, the audience was reactive and raised some questions.

About "Science Rendez-vous":

Dedicated to a large audience, these monthly talks - aim at taking part in the dissemination of scientific culture in Hong Kong. Through informal talks and exchanges with the audience, renowned experts from France or Hong Kong will popularize a large variety of scientific topics.
The « Science Rendez-Vous » will stay close from topical issues and will keep an eye on ground-breaking discoveries made by French or local teams as well as teams working in cooperation between the two countries.
The talks will be given in English in the following format: 40 minutes’ speech followed by a Q&A session fostering interaction between the speaker and the audience.
