Job Title: Academic Officer, Campus France Representative

Under the Department of Culture, Education and Science of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the Office for Science and Academic Affairs promotes the cooperation between higher education institutions and scientific research centres from France and Hong Kong/Macau, along with Campus France, the French national agency for the promotion of French Higher Education, international student services and international mobility.
As the Academic Officer and the Campus France Representative of the Consulate General, under the supervision of the Attaché for Science and Academic Cooperation, one should
(1) promote French higher education locally: organize education fairs, giving seminars;
(2) provide comprehensive support to students: weighing study options, applying for appropriate programs, requesting visa and preparing arrival in France.
Providing assistance to students interested in study programs in France, from the initial information seeking to university pre-enrollment.
Providing information on French Higher Education and related questions (French language and culture, why choose France for studies, French education system, scholarship opportunities, cost of living, etc.).
Event Management: Education Fairs, networking sessions, workshops on academic innovation, etc.
Organization of seminars on Study in France in local universities, French International School, Alliance Française and other local institutions.
Organization of official visits to French higher education institutions in the local universities to set-up or enhance the academic link between France and Hong Kong/Macau.
Communication: production of promotional materials (brochures, flyers, posters etc.), reporting events in the websites of the Consulate General and Campus France Hong Kong, advertisements in the press & media, press interviews and press articles.
Student visa: conducting face-to-face academic interview within the student visa process and data input for the same. Eventually, writing an analytic report on the student mobility from Hong Kong and Macau to France.
Budget follow-up and annual report
Bachelor’s degree (3 years of university studies).
Studying and living experience in France
Experience and/or training in event management, communication, press and public relations is a plus
Good knowledge of the current French and Hong Kong higher education system.
Organization skills covered by the job description (promotion, event management, logistics and communication)
Good command of French, English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Excellent orator in English (talk shows, seminars and press interviews)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sense of responsibility & autonomy with a good team spirit
Active, out-going & highly motivated.
