Jean-Marc Jancovici will give a talk on the 23th of October 2015 in Hong Kong
Although few people see it that way, the economic turmoil that began in 2007 in the OECD countries has deep roots into what happened to oil production in 2005. More broadly, the fantastic economic growth that the world experienced since the beginning of the industrial revolution is mostly due to the existence of fossil fuels. What economic future can we foresee when climate change and supply issues will become increasingly prominent in the landscape?
This Lecture is co-organize by the French Center for Research on Contemporary (CEFC) and Jean-Pierre Cabestan (Professor and Head Department of Government and International Studies Faculty of Social Sciences Hong Kong Baptist University). This talk will be given in English
