GFSTF 2016 is to be held in Hong Kong from 3rd to 5th February, 2016.
Hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), and co-organized by the Consulate general of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Global Food Safety and Technology Forum (GFSTF) 2016 serves to build a multi-dimensional platform synergizing the power from all stakeholders under the umbrella of food safety, across geographical and industrial boundaries.
GFSTF is designated to embark on science-and-technology driven collaborative initiatives through interactive and pragmatic exchange between industry, government and academia.

In addition to learning and discussing how the food industry can better respond by strengthening food legislation and standards using scientific risk-based approaches, increasing capacity and technical competency, this event will also spotlight on:
• Discussing the most imminent food safety challenges from a global perspective through sharing by supranational and governmental bodies
• Technical challenges faced by the industry and how they would like the academia to assist in addressing these challenges
During the plenary sessions on 4th of February, 2016 (Thursday), prominent representatives of intergovernmental and international organizations, regulatory bodies, governments, industry and academia are going to have an exchange on advancing food safety from a global perspective, with the aim of facilitating the sharing of the most imminent trends and issues regarding food safety.
Breakout sessions on 5th of February, 2016 (Friday) aim at engaging stakeholders with particular interests and expertise in pragmatic discussions on need-addressing technologies as well as technology’s implications on planning and management systems. The format of discussion varies from workshops, technology presentations and demonstrations to panel discussions on various topics related to food safety with the starting point in science and technology development.
