French Cinepanorama - get your tickets now ! (Nov 19 - Dec 11) [fr]
Presented by Alliance Française de Hong Kong in collaboration with Dragages Hong Kong and with the support of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Hong Kong French Film Festival, Le French Cinepanorama will be held from November 19 to December 11 décembre 2014.
The French Cinepanorama a.k.a the Hong Kong French Film Festival presents the best of 2014 French cinema (features, short films, documentaries, animated films) and a special retrospective of the New Wave filmmaker François Truffaut. Within the theme "Francois Truffaut and His Actresses", discover a selection of 10 recently restored films, showed in Hong Kong for the first time.
The biopic Saint Laurent directed by Bertrand Bonello dedicated to the famous fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, will open the festival on November 19 at 6:45pm, AMC Pacific Place. The lead actor, Gaspard Ulliel will be in Hong Kong to meet the audience. Distributed by Sundream, the film will be officially on screen on November 27.
Other films from Gala Premieres category, the comedy Serial Bad Weddings , box-office hit of this year in France with over 12 million admissions.
The director Philippe de Chauveron and the actor Frédéric Chau are the guests of the festival and a Q&A session will be conducted after the screening on November 20 at 7:55pm, Palace IFC.
The director and actor Xavier Beauvois will present his last film The Price of Fame , starring Benoît Poelvoorde and Roschdy Zem.

Fresh out of prison, Eddy is taken in by his friend Osman. They have struck a deal: Eddy can stay with Osman, and in exchange, he’ll look after Osman’s seven-year-old daughter, Samira, while his wife Noor is undergoing health checks in hospital. But money is very tight this Christmas Eve, and so, when a news flash announces the death of Charlie Chaplin, Eddy gets a bright idea. They will steal the famous and wealthy actor’s coffin and demand a ransom from the family.

Meanwhile, Attilem, a new cereal developed by industrialists, which can be cultivated with little water and no fertilizers, and produces huge yields, seems like the miracle solution to stamping out famine, following in the footsteps of petrol, whose reserves are rapidly diminishing. But disaster isn’t far off...
