"France Alumni" platform celebrates its 2nd anniversary [中文]
More than 60 alumni who studied in France gathered at the Residence of France on 11 December, celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the "France Alumni" platform in a convivial ambiance and consolidating their networks.
Campus France Hong Kong has organised a soirée for the France Alumni, in the presence of:
- Mr. Ronan Le Gleut, French senator
- Mr. Eric Berti, Consul General of France (speaker)
- Mr. So Kwok Wan, Associate Programme Director at Hong Kong Arts Festival (speaker)
- Mr. Louis Cheung, President of French Alumni Association (speaker)
This jovial party started with a speech by Mr. Eric Berti, summing up the Consulate’s efforts in promoting French education to locals and welcoming the attendees. Another speech was given by Mr. SO Kwok Wan, where he expressed his wholehearted love to France and how his studies in France have shaped him to who he is today. Mr Louis Cheung then presented the French Alumni Association and recognised the benefits of joining the France Alumni platform. A lucky draw followed, giving 3 lucky winners cosmetic sets provided by Thalgo Hong Kong.
Initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to maintain the ties of past students who studied in France, "France Alumni" is an online platform dedicated to foreign alumni of French schools and universities. This is one of the essential strategies of the university cooperation actions of the Consulate, which will further reinforce the attractiveness of French higher education and the number of its foreign "ambassadors".
This digital platform allows them to stay in touch with France, its schools, universities, businesses, as well as its cultural and touristic offerings. With France Alumni, members can grow their personal and professional networks, interact with one another, share their experiences, access to training, scholarship, internship or job offers.
If you have studied in France and would love to stay in touch with the community, or know any Alumni among your Hong Kong friends, do not hesitate to invite them to join this network. The community is just waiting to grow!
