Adopting a raw social realist approach, Legrand tells the tale of a broken marriage facing a bitter custody battle, in which the son is held hostage to the escalating conflict between his parents.
The film has been selected in various prestigious international film festivals including the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and Miami International Film Festival.
Custody has also been presented on March 21 and 23 by director Xavier Legrand to HK audiences within the Hong Kong International Film Festival taking place from March 19 to April 5. In Hong Kong and Macao the film has been bought by Golden Scene and is scheduled for release on March 29.
