Cultural Cooperation [fr]
Your contacts at the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau are Zoé SIMARD (performing arts), Louis BONNEAU (audiovisual) and Katherine CHAN (press and communications).
As part of its events for promoting French culture and arts, the Department of Culture, Education and Science (SCAC) provides information, advice and support on the development of culture and art-related projects while two French and Hong Kong / Macau organisations are partners. Bringing together French and local organisations, no matter private or public (museums, fairs, galleries, conservatories, national choreographic centres, national theatre centres, university departments, festivals, cultural affairs offices, programme coordinators, distributors, publishers, etc.) is the principal mission of the SCAC. The SCAC particularly encourages projects leading to long-term exchange programmes (teachers, students, artists, authors), co-production or training programmes in France.
With the establishment of the Fonds des Artistes since 2002, Alliance Française de Hong Kong has provided its modest contribution to promote promising local creative talents for more than ten years. This funding programme calls for projects proposed by artists residing in Hong Kong for more than 5 years or any Hongkongers (aged 18 - 35). A jury composed of experts will select the winning project which will receive a funding up to HKD100,000 (around 10,000euros). For more information, please consult the website of Alliance Française de Hong Kong.
