Conference on Regional Environmental Initiatives in East Asia at CUHK (20/03)
The Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies Institute, celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong are going to host a conference on Regional Environmental Initiatives in East Asia and their Impact on Regionalism.
The Conference will be a half day event to be held in LT7, Cheng Yu Tung Building on 20 March 2015.
The Conference intends to present the current level of regional cooperation in the area of environmental protection of regional institutions as well as of local governments and NGOs; and to analyze how regional efforts on environmental protection could initiate a momentum of regional integration as a whole. It is expected to clarify the existing level of regional cooperation, to foresee how such efforts can be strengthened, to explore making best use of the environmental protection as a catalyst of promoting regionalism.
