China selects "The Nightingale" by French director Philippe Muyl for 2015 Oscars [fr]
The Hollywood Reporter reported this weekend that China has submitted the Franco-Chinese film, The Nightingale (Ye Ying), to represent the country to the Oscars 2015 for best foreign-language film.
The film has been presented in Hong Kong during the last edition of Le French May in the presence of the director, Philippe Muyl.
The short list of the nominees that will run for the Oscar during February 22, 2015 ceremony will be known in January. France selects Saint Laurent by Bertrand Bonello. The film will release in Hong Kong on November 27.
