Le French GourMay is the one and only major festival in Hong Kong and Macau dedicated to gastronomy à la française, organised under the umbrella of Le French May Arts Festival. The 11th edition of Le French GourMay will showcase the wonders of a stroll along the LOIRE VALLEY, a UNESCO World Heritage site for its landscapes and chateaux, with unique lifestyle and world-famous vineyards.
As the “Marché” (traditional outdoor market) is deeply rooted in French “art de vivre” (lifestyle), Le French GourMay 2019 will be kicked-off from April 26th to 28th with an opening celebration at PMQ, also the 6th edition of French Traditional Gourmet Market, the perfect occasion to not only eat like the French, but shop like the French!
French Markets in weekends are famous among tourists – abundant choices of local produce, friendly vendors in the neighborhood, enjoyable grocery shopping beyond time limit. During the long weekend from April 26th – 28th, French Traditional Gourmet Market at PMQ (Free admission) will give you a break from the hustle and bustle of the city in Hong Kong. With selected participating merchants from the festival, visitors will discover all kinds of French delicacies and wines, especially those from our theme region Loire Valley, including cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, sweets and patisserie, pâtés, fresh seafoods, etc.
There are also diverse activities at the market: wines and spirits appreciation workshops, learning French by story-telling, drawing etc.

About Le French May & Le French GourMay
Established in 1993, Le French May (www.frenchmay.com) is one of the largest cultural events in Asia. With more than 150 programmes presented across two months, it has become an iconic part of Hong Kong’s cultural scene that reaches out over 1 million visitors each year.
Being an important part of Le French May since 2009, Le French GourMay (www.frenchgourmay.com) has been celebrating and promoting the French food and wine culture in Hong Kong and Macau. It has become in a few years, thanks to a strong communication and involvement of the gourmet community, a major food and wine festival. Every year in May, Le French GourMay presents a different region (Midi-Pyrénées, Rhone Valley, Provence, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Alsace, Champagne etc.), introducing and encouraging people to experience the dining culture in French style and letting go through an authentic French gastronomic journey through a network of more than 200 local partners.
