Business France: France brings jewellery craftsmanship to Hong Kong [中文]

Led by the French official Comité Francéclat, French expertise will be showcased at the world’s preeminent market place for fine jewellery: a French Pavilion of 5 exhibitors who represent 11 French high-end jewellery brands at the 35th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show from 1 to 5 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Hall 3C); and 2 French professional manufacturers at the 5th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show from 27 February to 3 March at AsiaWorld-Expo.

France’s fine jewellery industry represents a turnover of 2.1 billion € (tax free). As the world’s 7th biggest exporter, France produces/ exports 7.6 billion € worth of fine jewellery each year. With a pool of 11000 jobs, the industry comprises of more than 2700 brands in France and overseas. France is also the sixth biggest suppliers to Hong Kong, exporting more than 844 million €, worth of fine jewellery every year.

The French delegation led by Comité Francéclat, French Watch, Clock, Jewellery, Silverware & Tableware Committee, will showcase a variety French high-end offers. From discovering raw materials to gem cutting, from design to manufacturing, the French jewellery industry is world-renowned for its guarantee of traditional know-how, ever-lasting aesthetic value, endless creativity and innovation. The 7 French exhibitors will present their signature creations which reflect a century-long tradition of artisanal expertise, the use and experimentation with a variety of materials, and creative designs of all styles French.
