In the presence of the Assistant Director of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (Libraries and Development) of the HKSAR government Miss Rochelle LAU Shuk-fan and the Consul General of France in Hong Kong, Mr Eric Berti, a donation ceremony took place on Thursday March 2 at 3 pm at the Hong Kong Central Library in Causeway Bay.
To mark the excellent relations between the LCSD and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao, Mr. BERTI offered twenty-six emblematic books of cultural cooperation, among which are the exhibition catalogs of the festival of arts "Le French May" , But also books on the French presence in Hong Kong for 150 years, and books on learning the French language.
The richly illustrated collective work entitled "Hong Kong-French Presence, from the XIXth century to the present", which traces the history of the French presence in Hong Kong, carried out in 2012 by the Consulate, under the editorial direction of Mr. François Drémeaux, was also presented at this ceremony.
