Bastille Day 2019 in Hong Kong & Macau [fr]
On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Napoléon Bonaparte, the Bastille Day celebrations in Hong Kong & Macau were themed after the First Empire with an exhibition of Napoleon’s personal belongings, including one of his iconic hat and his medal of Legion of Honor, lent by collector Pierre-Jean Chalençon.
Were exhibited some Napoleon’s personal belongings lent by collector Pierre-Jean Chalençon, as well as a artpiece from a Hong Kong artist and a chocolate sculpture made by the Disciples d’Escoffier.
The Bastille Day reception in Hong Kong took place on 12 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Bauhinia Room in the presence of Mr Matthew Cheung, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR.

In Macau, the Bastille Day reception took place on 15 July at the Parisian Macao in the presence of Mr Raimundo Arrais do Rosário, Secretary for Transport and Public Works of the Macau SAR.
