As a spouse of a French national - Long stay [fr]
It is mandatory to obtain an appointment online to apply for a visa. Application time slots are between 8:30 and 12:30 from Monday to Friday.
On scheduled interview, applicants must come in person with their passport and all original documents, with a complete set of photocopies. The Consulate won’t do any photocopies and it won’t be possible to complete your application later.
All documents submitted to the visa department have to be written in French or English. If not, they have to be accompanied by a certified translation.
Documents required to settle down in France (more than 90 days):
2 long-stay visa application forms duly completed and signed (available to download or at the Consulate General)
2 colour ID photographs, passport size with white background (35x45mm) (example)
Valid passport (more than 1 year and 3 months) + 1 copy of the identity page
1 copy of the Hong Kong and / or Macau ID Card
1 copy of the Hong Kong and / or Macau visa
1 recent (less than 3 months) complete copy of the French marriage certificate or of the transcript of the marriage in the registers of civil status of the French Consulate if the marriage was celebrated abroad.
If you were married in France, the marriage certificate has to be obtained at the town hall where the wedding was celebrated. If you were married abroad, you can obtain it from the civil status central department.
1 copy of the family book
Original + 1 copy of proof of French nationality of the French spouse (French national identity card, passport or certificate of French nationality)
1 copy of documents justifiying your French spouse’s settlement in France (i.e. end of registration with the French consulate; if your spouse is not registered with the consulate : work contract in France, explanation letter, etc...)

Note: we cannot issue a visa more than 3 months before your departure date.
