2016 Young Energy Storage Scientist Award -R2SE [fr]
The RS2E 2016 Young Energy Storage Scientist Award Edition is NOW OPEN!
RS2E - for Réseau sur le stockage électrochimique de l’énergie or "research network on electrochemical energy storage" - is a French research and technology transfer network devoted to energy storage devices: rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors and other alternative techniques intended for multiple commercial products (electric vehicles, portable electronics and electricity storage from renewable sources). RS2E is a CNRS research network (French national center for scientific research) created with the support of the Ministry of higher education and research.
The YESS Award (Young Energy Storage Scientist Award) is a €12.500 (free of use) yearly award for two young innovative researchers/scientists in the field of electrochemical energy storage (batteries, supercapacitors…). The YESS Award has been created by the French network on electrochemical energy storage (RS2E). The first edition took place in 2015.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Participants have to submit an innovative project through an application form of a few pages. The projects can address (i) all the field related to electrochemical energy storage, or (ii) associated characterization techniques or (iii) devices coupling an electrochemical energy conversion and storage function.
To give some examples, projects can address issues at a system level (pack, cell, BMS…), at an element level (electrode, electrolyte, current collector...), at a process level etc. The project can be written in French or English (click here to download the application form).
Project submission deadline: July 27th 2016
Age limit: at most 35 on December 31st 2016
Prizes: €10.000 for the first, €2.500 for the second
Confidentiality: guaranteed by the terms and conditions
Targeted fields: electrochemical energy storage, or associated characterization techniques or devices coupling an electrochemical energy conversion and storage function
