Around fifty French teachers from all over the town will meet for a 2-day training program on 27 and 28 June 2016. The aim of this program is to equip teachers with skills to use up-to-date technology for pedagogical purposes.
This 2-day French teacher training program, which is open to all French teachers in Hong Kong, is organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and The Association of Teachers of French in Hong Kong and Macau (AFLE), with the support of Alliance Française Hong Kong and the Education Bureau (EDB).
French teachers from all kinds of institutions will have the chance to explore innovative ways to teach in the classroom to engage students in the language. Teachers attending will be presented with a diverse workshop programme consisting of four areas: Positive Discipline (PD), Neurolinguistics and Language Acquisition, the use of SIRI in teaching French as a Second Language and introduction to the “IFProfs Hong Kong” platform. All these sessions will be conducted by education practitioners of rich experience. Participants will also find out more about latest education technology, and related activities and resources. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to network with their peers from around town.
During the program, the “IFProfs Hong Kong” platform will be launched. IFprofs is a professional social network dedicated for French-language teachers and professionals. It is a cooperation tool to organize and assist professional teacher communities active at different levels of local education systems. It also acts as a platform for sharing digital resources and learning expertise for French teachers.
