What is "Francophonie"?
The Francophonie corresponds to the French-speaking world and is made up of all the people and institutions that use French. French is spoken by 321 million people on every continent and is the 7th most widely spoken language in the world, behind English, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic and Bengali.

70th Anniversary of the Alliance Française de Hong Kong
In 2023, Alliance Française Hong Kong celebrates its 70th anniversary. Since its establishment, Alliance Française Hong Kong has been dedicated to promoting French culture by offering French language courses and organizing a wide range of cultural events.

Francophonie Festival 2023: a successful comeback!
The 23rd Francophonie Festival in Hong Kong made its grand comeback to the public. Around 2,500 people took part in the events organised throughout Hong Kong.
The 2023 edition took place from 10 to 24 March, accompanied by a few events on other dates throughout the month of March. Co-organised by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and the Alliance Française de Hong Kong, it was based on the theme of time and the promotion of the cultural and geographical diversity of the French-speaking world. -
